Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Card Ritual ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Card Ritual is a tarot practice application that provides:

• Daily tarot card reveals
• Personal journaling for card interpretations
• Traditional card meanings and references
• Optional mentor feedback from tarot practitioners (requires token purchase)
• Subscription-based access to premium features

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Card Ritual. By using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age.

4. Account Registration

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Maintain the security of your login credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

• Card Ritual Practice Monthly: $5/month
• Card Ritual Practice Yearly: $50/year

5.2 Billing and Renewal

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

5.3 Managing Subscriptions

You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.

5.4 Free Trials

New users may receive a free trial period. Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

5.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

6. Mentorship Tokens

6.1 Description

Mentor Tokens are consumable in-app purchases that allow you to request personalized feedback from experienced tarot practitioners on your card interpretations.

6.2 Pricing

• 1 token: $3
• 5 tokens: $12
• 10 tokens: $20

6.3 Usage

• One token may be used per journal entry
• Tokens are non-refundable
• Tokens do not expire
• Mentors typically respond within 48 hours

6.4 Consent

By requesting mentor feedback, you consent to a Card Ritual mentor reading your journal entry. Your entries are shared only with mentors and are not made public.

6.5 Entertainment Purposes Only

Mentor feedback is provided for entertainment and personal reflection purposes only. It does not constitute professional, medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.

You should not rely on mentor feedback to make decisions regarding your health, finances, relationships, legal matters, or any other significant life choices. If you need professional guidance, please consult a qualified professional.

7. User Content

7.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of journal entries and interpretations you create ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant Card Ritual a limited license to store and display your content to provide the Service.

7.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to submit content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, or threatening
• Harasses or abuses others
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware or harmful code
• Violates any applicable laws

7.3 Content Removal

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms without notice.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Our Content

Card Ritual, including its design, features, card descriptions, and original content, is owned by Savelle LLC and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

8.2 Tarot Card Images

Tarot card images used in the Service are either public domain, licensed, or used with permission.

8.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our content
• Reverse engineer the Service
• Use the Service to create a competing product
• Scrape or collect data from the Service

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

Card Ritual is for entertainment and personal reflection only. Tarot readings and mentor feedback are not substitutes for professional advice.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
• Results from the Service will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors will be corrected

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Card Ritual and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the past 12 months.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Card Ritual, Savelle LLC, and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including violation of these terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service ends immediately
• We may delete your account and data
• Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.
